Sharing a Funeral Notice with a QR Code

Use a QR code to give your families quick and easy access to their tribute page.

Using a QR (Quick Response) code is the quickest and easiest way for your families to access their tribute page. By including the code on an order of service, or displaying it at the entrance to the burial or service location your families, and their friends and relatives can instantly access the funeral notice and tribute page you’ve created for them. They simply scan the QR code from the camera on their mobile and the tribute page will open automatically for them.

If your website has a page for displaying the funeral details (such as maps, photos, donations) then the QR code will take the individual to this page. If your website doesn't have this page, the link will take the individual to the tribute on muchloved.com

How to access the QR code:

Step 1:  Log in to your Partner Area via www.muchloved.com

Click 'Login' at the top right of the screen, add your email address and password and click 'Login'.

Step 2: Once in your Partner Area click on the 'Settings' button for the funeral that you wish to share.

Step 3: To download the QR code, click on ‘Get QR Code’ in the Funeral Notice section.

Step 4: The QR code for that tribute will then be displayed.

Step 5:  Check the code. Before downloading, please check that the code works using your own smartphone. Once you have confirmed this download the code to your desktop.

Please note: QR codes can be downloaded in either JPEG or PNG format, to be included in an order of service and/or displayed as a printed version at the entrance to the burial or service location.  Remember to change the name of the file to the name of the deceased so you can identify it from your download folder

Please also be aware:  Including a logo can sometimes cause a QR code to become unreadable, so we recommend testing the QR code successfully scans into a phone before sharing it anywhere.
